Un bel giro panoramico sul London Eye è sicuramente un'esperienza da fare per godersi un panorama mozzafiato di Londra. Dal London Eye si possono ammirare i luoghi più turistici quali il Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, Hide Park,  St Paul's Cathedral, Trafagal Square, la City.
Salire sulla ruota all'ora del crepuscolo regala un'emozione indimenticabile!

La Basilica Cisterna a Istanbul

Una scena del film di James Bond "dalla Russia con amore" è ambientata all'interno della Basilica Cisterna. Si trova nel quartiere di Istanbul a Sultanahmet vicino alla maestosa Santa Sofia. E' un luogo sotterraneo che incanta, in cui ci sono 12 file di 28 colonne alte 9 metri con capitelli diversi fra loro. Costruita nel 550 D.C., la sua funzione principale è stata quella di rifornire d'acqua il palazzo dell'imperatore Giustiniano e successivamente il palazzo reale Topkapi e l'Harem. La Basilica Cisterna è stata scoperta alla fine del 19 secolo, e solo di recente sono state trovate le colonne che poggiano sulle teste di medusa rovesciate.

 Ancora oggi il riflesso delle colonne sull'acqua rende questo luogo unico e incantevole!! Non trovi??

A scene from the James Bond movie "From Russia with Love" is set in the Basilica Cistern. It is located in the Sultanahmet district of Istanbul near the majestic Hagia Sophia. It''s an underground place that enchants, and there are 12 lines of 28 columns high 9 meters with different capitals. Built in 550 AD, its main function was to supply water to the palace of the Emperor Justinian and then the Topkapi palace and the Harem. The Basilica Cistern was not discovered until the late 19th century, and only recently have been discovered columns resting on the heads of Medusa reversed. Even today, the reflection of culomns in the water makes this place unique and enchanting!! Don't you think??

Dune of Pyla in France: i wanna go!

La Duna del Pyla  è la più alta duna in Europa. Si trova in Francia vicino alla città di Bordeaux, lungo la costa oceanica e si estende per circa 3 km. Ogni anno migliaia di visitatori vanno a vedere questo luogo così insolito dove è possibile rotolarsi sulla grande duna verso il mare. Io ancora non  ci sono stata, ma credetemi, la voglia è tanta!!

The Dune of Pyla is the highest dune in Europe. It is located in France, near the city of Bordeaux, along the ocean coast and it extends for about 3 km. Every year, thousands of visitors go to see this place so unusual where you can roll on the sand dune to the sea. I still do not have been there, but believe me, the desire is so great!

In Italia nei Colli Euganei si trova il giardino di Villa Barbarigo a Valsanzibio, un giardino d'epoca esistente già nel Seicento. La maggior attrazione turistica del parco è il labirinto di bosso, il più antico ed esteso al mondo, e ben conservato! Nel parco si trovano anche antiche statue, fontane con giochi d'acqua e viali ben curati che conducono alla villa.

Il parco e il labirinto si possono visitare da febbraio a dicembre compresi la domenica e le festività.

Non perdetevi nel labirinto! 

In Italy there is is the garden of Villa Barbarigo in Valsanzibio in the Euganean Hills, a very old garden already existed in the Seventeenth century. The major tourist attraction of the park is the labyrinth of boxwood, the oldest and most extensive in the world, and well preserved! In the park there are also ancient statues, fountains with water games and manicured boulevards leading to the villa.

The park and the labyrinth can be visited from February to December, including Sundays and holidays.

Mercato di San Lorenzo a Firenze

Ciao a tutti!

Visitare Firenze è sempre un gran piacere! Mi piace andarci almeno una volta all'anno e passeggiare per il centro storico, che essendo abbastanza piccolo, si può visitare tranquillamente in un paio di giorni! Uno dei mercati più famosi di Firenze è quello di San Lorenzo, che merita sicuramente un giro. Le bancherelle espongono tantissimi prodotti artigianali realizzati in pelle, tra cui borse, portafogli, guanti, cinture, pashmine coloratissime, bijoux,e oggettistica varia.

Vi posto alcune foto che ho scattato di recente!

Visiting Florence is always a great pleasure! I like to go once a year and take a walk through the old town, which, being small enough, can be easilly visit in two days!

One of the most famous markets in Florence is San Lorenzo, which is definitely worth to spin. You can find many product in genuine leather, including handbags, wallets, gloves, belts, colorful pashminas, jewelry, and various objects.

V&V: Vintage festival in Veneto

Yesterday the Vintage Festival has started in Padua and will end tomorrow night, an event where you can see and buy ald clothes, bags, vintage accessories, participate in workshops and sip your prosecco.

But the events dedicated to vintage in Veneto does not end here!

Coming next month other events with vintage theme, including "Valeggio dresses vintage" Sunday, October 7 in Valeggio sul Mincio (VR) and "the Arsenal Vintage Market" in Verona from 26 to 28 October 2012.

Do not miss it!

E' iniziata ieri a Padova il Vintage Festival e terminerà domani sera, un evento dove oltre a poter acquistare vestiti, borse, accessori vintage, si può partecipare ai workshop e sorseggiare ottimi prosecchi.

Ma gli eventi dedicati al vintage in Veneto non finiscono qui!

Green sea in Balos -Crete- Greece-

This is Balos, a fabulous beach to see if you go on holiday in Crete, the largest greek island.To get there, there are two ways: the first one is by sea from the port of Kissamos, the second one is by land, as I have chosen. Driving some kilometers of dirt road by car - what a road! - you arrive to the park car where begins the trail down to the beach of Balos. After Half an hour's walkyou can see the beautiful landscape from the top of the mountain!

Ecco Balos,una spiaggia favolosa da vedere se si va in vacanza a Creta, la più grande isola della Grecia.

Per arrivarci ci sono due modi: o via mare, partendo dal porto di Kissamos oppure via terra, come ho fatto io. Percorrendo alcuni chilometri di strada sterrata - e che strada!- si arriva al parcheggio dal quale parte il sentiero in discesa che porta alla spiaggia di Balos. Mezzora di camminata viene appagata dal bellissimo panorama che poco a poco si scorge!

Hello to All!
One of the most particular museums I've ever visited is undoubtedly the tomb of the father of Alexander the Great, Philip II, who was king of Macedonia since 359 BC to 336 BC.It is located in Vergina, Greece.
At first glance, the museum looks like a big green hill - "the large mound"-but as soon as you walk through the entrance, a tunnel leads you into the museum, where you can admire the archaeological wonders that the royal tomb has to offer.
The tomb of the king is considered one of the most important archaeological discoveries of the last century, because it returned intact all the treasure it contained. The tomb is in fact made ​​up of two rooms, hallway and main room, where were found the golden urn, armor, objects in gold, jewelry, vases, weapons, coins and many other small items of furniture .
A museum definitely not to be missed!

Uno dei musei più particolari che abbia mai visitato è senza dubbio la tomba del padre di Alessandro Magno, Filippo Secondo, che fu re di Macedonia dal 359 a.c. al 336 a.c. Si trova a Vergina, in Grecia.
A prima vista il museo appare come una grande collina verde - "il grande tumulo"-, ma appena si varca l'ingresso si passa sotto un tunnel che conduce all'interno del museo, dove si possono ammirare le meraviglie archeologiche che questa tomba offre. 
La tomba del re è considerata una delle più importanti scoperte archeologiche del secolo scorso, perchè ha restituito intatto tutto il tesoro che conteneva. La tomba infatti è costituita da due stanze, anticamera e camera principale, nelle quali, oltre all'urna d'oro, sono state trovati l'armatura, oggettistica in oro, gioielli, vasi, armi, monete e molti altri piccoli oggetti di arredamento.
Un museo sicuramente da non perdere!
